Host City: Vancouver

The city’s professional journey took off with the original Vancouver Whitecaps of the NASL in the 1970s, who won the Soccer Bowl in 1979 and became a symbol of Canadian soccer pride. The modern Whitecaps FC joined Major League Soccer in 2011, continuing the tradition and cultivating a passionate fan base at BC Place. The city has hosted major international events, including matches during the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
BC Place in Vancouver will host seven matches, featuring Canada’s second and third group fixtures and two knockout ties from 13 June to 7 July 2026. The stadium underwent major renovations to host the 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup™ final, where Carli Lloyd scored a rapid hat-trick to defeat Japan 5-2.
