Host City: Seattle

Seattle’s soccer legacy began in the 1970s with the original Seattle Sounders of the NASL, who quickly became a fan favorite in the Pacific Northwest. The city’s deep-rooted passion for the sport was reignited with the launch of Seattle Sounders FC in Major League Soccer in 2009. The club has since become one of the most successful and well-supported in the league, winning multiple U.S. Open Cups, an MLS Cup, and the 2022 CONCACAF Champions League. Matches at Lumen Field regularly draw some of the highest attendance figures in North America, showcasing the city’s unmatched enthusiasm for the game.
The city has hosted major international matches and will play a prominent role in the FIFA World Cup 2026 by hosting four group matches, one Round of 32 and one Round of 16 match, including USA’s second group game on 19 June 2026.
